Reel Defender™ 1-Year Limited Warranty
Reel Defender, LLC warrants to the original purchaser that Reel Defender products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal recreational marine use for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase.
If a defect covered under this warranty arises during the warranty period, Reel Defender, at its sole discretion, may replace the product with the same or a comparable model. This remedy is the exclusive remedy available under this warranty.
What This Warranty Does Not Cover
This warranty does not cover damage or failure resulting from:
- Improper installation or failure to follow installation instructions
- Misalignment or inadequate backing or mounting surfaces
- Misuse, abuse, negligence, overloading, or impact damage
- Unauthorized modifications, disassembly, or repairs
- Commercial, charter, or tournament use unless approved in writing
- Normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage, or corrosion
- Failure to perform routine inspection and maintenance
- Failure to replace recommended wear components
- Labor costs, haul-out fees, vessel damage, towing, or reinstallation costs
The warranty is void if the product is used outside its intended purpose.
Maintenance Recommendations
Because Reel Defender products operate in demanding marine environments, routine inspection and maintenance are recommended.
- Inspect mounting hardware and locking components at least once per year
- Replace worn or corroded components immediately
- Replace the internal locking mechanism every three (3) years as preventative maintenance
These recommendations are provided for product safety and longevity and do not extend the warranty period.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Reel Defender, LLC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to property damage, vessel damage, personal injury, loss of use, lost profits, towing, or haul-out costs.
Total liability shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product.

Except as expressly stated above, no other warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, apply beyond the one-year warranty period.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so portions of this disclaimer may not apply.
