Installation Responsibility Notice
Reel Defender products must be installed in accordance with the provided instructions and accepted marine industry practices.
The installer (whether the vessel owner or a third party) assumes full responsibility for:
- Proper mounting surface evaluation
- Structural adequacy of backing or support materials
- Proper torque and fastening methods
- Compliance with vessel manufacturer specifications
Reel Defender, LLC is not responsible for damage, injury, or product failure resulting from improper installation or structural incompatibility.
If professional installation is recommended but declined, all associated risk is assumed by the purchaser.
Maintenance & Safety Notice
Reel Defender products operate in high-stress marine environments and should be inspected and maintained regularly for safe operation.
- Inspect mounting hardware before each use
- Rinse thoroughly with fresh water after saltwater exposure
- Check locking mechanisms for smooth engagement
- Replace worn, corroded, or damaged components immediately
- Replace the internal locking mechanism every three (3) years as preventative maintenance
Failure to follow maintenance recommendations may result in equipment failure, property damage, or personal injury.
Do not exceed intended use or loading limits.
